The Perspective on Innovation Centers
Measure B: Building on Years of Research
The Davis Innovation & Sustainability Campus (DISC) accounts for years of research from academic and subject-matter experts, who have highlighted the importance of university-related research centers that can produce innovative technologies to help change the world. The DISC is also designed to meet the unique needs of Davis including: economic activity, city investment, and housing challenges. Informed by Davis values, the project will attract innovative companies making their mark on the world, lead the way on sustainable design by being powered by 100% renewable energy, and make the largest contribution to affordable housing in the history of Davis.
